I was shunning responsibility for my life and looking for excuses and someone to blame for my problems.

I realize today that it’s not what happens to us that matters, it’s what we do about it, how we focus our minds, interpret experiences, and the means by which we respond that makes the biggest difference in the end.

The response I usually got was that “Life isn’t fair, learn to deal with it!” It actually took me quite a long time to realize the very truth of this statement. And the moment I started to accept the fact that Life wasn’t fair, was the moment I stopped making excuses and began taking personal responsibility for my life and circumstances.
