For a long time my biggest excuse for procrastinating was labeling myself as a Perfectionist…

“I want to do things perfectly, and for that reason I am spending all this time planning and organizing my thoughts and ideas. This is NOT Procrastination!!!! Can’t you see that I am making progress with my ideas? I mean, what’s the point of doing something half-heartedly? I either do it right or I don’t do it at all”

I was literally pulling out every excuse I could find to justify my reasons for procrastinating. And on top of this I actually thought I was making good progress. Well I might have been making marginal progress, however it wasn’t the RIGHT TYPE OF PROGRESS that would get me to where I wanted to go. I was quite effectively stuck within my Comfort Zone

Later in life I realized that perfection is only an opinion. What’s perfect for one person may not be the epitome of perfection for another person. As a result, it is far more worthwhile to strive for Excellence above all else.
