  I Am Not My Past If I Learn from It 

  The Past is the Past. There is no point in looking back on it unless I have something to learn about myself.

  If I suddenly make a mistake in the present by saying something stupid, doing something irresponsible, or simply not doing something I know I should, than the moment I realize and learn from my mistake or indiscretion, is the moment I let go of the past and become renewed in the present moment.

  I am therefore NOT MY PAST if I learn from my past in order to improve myself in the present, and effectively prepare myself for the future.

  Mistakes are simply a natural part of life. However, at times it is very easy to forget that they are actually a CRITICAL and ESSENTIAL component of human evolution – without which evolution would not be possible.

  The progress we make through these mistakes depends on our perspective and how effectively we handle the circumstances we find ourselves in.
